Here, I am going to describe the Complete detailed Syllabus that will ask in UPSC IES 2020 Exam. All the Syllabus arranged according to UPSC IES 2020 Exam Pattern. so let’s get started.

About Indian Economic Service

Indian Economic Services is also a part of the Indian Civil Services. It serves for the Union Government of India. An IES Officer is Manage and Control the Economic Factors of the country to achieve Successive growth in the GDP. It provides a Reputed Group ‘A’ position in the country and a higher pay scale.

UPSC IES 2020: Exam Pattern

Indian Economic Service Examination Consists of two stages, the first one is Prelims, that is a written (Descriptive type) offline examination and the second is Main Exam, That is Interview/viva type Exam each carries respective marks as follows.

Stage-1: Prelims Exam Pattern

  • Stage-1 is known as the Preliminary examination.
  • It Comprises 6 papers of six Subjects and each carries individual marks.
  • All these papers are Conventional (Descriptive Type).
  • After the result of the first Stage, only selected candidates will be allowed to attend the stage 2 exam that is InterviewViva.
  • The Main Objective of Viva to check subject knowledge and personality

Prelims Exam Pattern: Papers along with their Marks

Stage-2: Mains Exam

  • Basically this test is held to check the Interest and knowledge of the candidates
  • The questions are mainly asked, Belongs to the written exam syllabus.
  • This test will be taken by one of the most experience Economic services officers.
  • This test carries 200 marks which can decide your selection.
  • The candidate must aware of Current affairs, national and international economic, political affairs.
  • Candidate must present in a Positive manner.
  • After this test selected candidates deputed to medical tests for checking its’ physical and then appointed as IES Officer in any of the government departments.

You just prepare yourself in the right manner. so now we move on next, that is the syllabus asked in the examination.

General English paper carries 100 marks and you will have 3 hours to solve it. examination asks General English to check the basic knowledge so hear the only Essay written and comprehension will be Asked.
