NITW/21/ARAssistant Registrar(a) Objective-type screening test for further shortlisting the candidates.
(i) Total Marks – 100
(ii) Total Questions – 50
(iii) Negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer.
(iv) Total Time – 60 minutes.
(v) Candidates who score minimum cut-off marks in the screening test, as decided by the Institute, will only be interviewed.

(b) Selection from among the shortlisted candidates will be done based on the performance in the interview.
NITW/21/AEAssistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical)Selection from among the shortlisted candidates will be done based on the performance in the interview.
NITW/21/SUPDT.Superintendent(a) Objective-type screening test for further shortlisting the candidates.
(i) Total Marks – 100
(ii) Total Questions – 50
(iii) Negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer.
(iv) Total Time – 60 minutes.
(v) Candidates who score minimum cut-off marks in the screening test, as decided by the Institute, will only be interviewed.


(b) Subjective (descriptive) written test of 03 hours.

NITW/21/TATechnical AssistantStage-1 : – Preliminary Test
(i) Examination comprising 50 multiple choice questions of one hour duration.
(ii) Questions of Mathematics, Science and General Awareness.
(iii) 02 marks will be awarded for each correct answer.
(iv) Negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer.


Stage-2 : – Advanced Test
(i) Candidates will attend Advanced Test on the GATE pattern in their respective Branch/Subject.
(ii) The test will comprise 50 multiple choice questions to be answered in 02 hours duration.
(iii) 02 marks will be awarded for each correct answer.
(iv) Negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer.

(v) A merit list will be prepared based on scores obtained in Stage-2.

Stage-3 : – Trade/Skill Test
Based on the merit list prepared after Stage 2, candidates in each Branch/Subject will be shortlisted for Trade Test/Skill Test.

(v) Level 1 will be only qualifying exam/screening test to shortlist candidates for Level 2 Main Test.


Level 2 : – Section B – Descriptive Written Test
Part A: English language comprising of Essay Writing, Comprehension, Precis, and English Grammar; and
Part B: Noting and drafting on Government of India rules for ministerial/ administrative jobs and Quantitative aptitude.
