Indian Navy UES Entry: Selection process

What is Selection process of UES Entry in Indian Navy: Indian Navy is Organised University Interviews for the UES Entry, Eligible candidates allowed to attend the interview, and the selected candidate is called for the SSB Round. so the selection process is based on Face to face interview and SSB Round.

Indian Navy UES Entry: SSB Round

  • The total duration of the SSB interview is of five days consisting of two stages.
  • Stage I (day one) and Stage II (four days).
  • Stage I test consisting of Officer Intelligence Rating(OIR) Test, Picture Perception, and Discussion test (PPDT) conducted on the first day.
  • The candidate who fails to qualify in Stage I will be routed back to home on the same day.
  • Stage II tests are comprised of Psychological testing, Group Task, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.
  • No compensation will be paid in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests.
  • Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Special Medical Examination for an approximate duration of 05 days at the nearest military hospital.
  • Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit will be appointed for training based on All India Merit.

Indian Navy UES Entry: Training and Joining

  • After the SSB, the selected candidates will be Inducted as Sub-Lieutenant as Trainee at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
  • The Training duration is of 22 weeks as Naval Orientation Course.
  • In the case of Executive (Information Technology) entry, the course duration of NOC at INA would be 04 weeks.
  • After the training, The officers will be on probation for a period of two years for IT and Tech, which will commence from the date of grant of the rank of Sub Lt.
  • During probation, they are liable to be discharged if their performance is unsatisfactory on professional/medical/disciplinary grounds
  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible for training.
  • Any candidate who is found to be married while under training will be discharged and shall be liable to refund full pay & allowances drawn by him and other expenditure incurred on the candidate by the Government.
  • After the Probation period, Officer promoted from Sub. Lt. to Lieutenant Rank in the Indian Navy.
