Who is Cadre Control body of Statistical Services:
Ministry of Statics and Programme Implementation of India is a Government body responsible for manage the database of the country. it is a cadre control body of the Indian Statistical services. The data may be official, unofficial, Public, Private, and foreign affairs. this ministry has wide department and wing to manage, data. these wings are -National Statistical Office(NSO) which is further divided in-

Indian Statistical Services examination

What is Statistical Services in India:
This Examination is conducted by the UPSC once in a year separately along with the Indian Economic Service. So here we talk about only ISS Exam. The examination consists of two parts. first is written type and second is the viva-interview type. The Written exam is carried 1000 marks and Viva Carry 200 Marks so examination carries a total of 1200 marks. Only Selected candidates can appear in the Viva. There is a Negative Marking of ¼ for each Wrong Answer. so let’s discuss all the important steps.

Examination Fee:-

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- Rupees either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI. Relaxation in fee as per rules please read full Notification.

What is the Eligibility for ISS Officer Exam:
For the ISS exam, Educational and Eligibility criteria are as follows.

  • Candidate must be an Indian or Subject of Nepal, Bhutan, etc…
  • Candidate must have Age in Between 21 to 30 years. (Relaxation Applicable as per Govt. rules.)
  • Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects.
  • Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized University.
  • And The Candidate must be fit physically in all aspects

There are two main Stages of the exam. The First Stage is part-1 (Written Exam) and Second Stage is Viva-Interview Type as Discuss below.

This part is Comprises of 6 written exams which are Objective and Conventional Descriptive type, as follows.

Part-2: Viva – Interview

  • After the Exam only Selected Candidates will allow attending the Viva-Interview.
  • Viva will be taken by one of the most experienced Board members of The Statistical Services Examination.
  • The Questions will be relevant to the written exam to assess his/her suitability for the service for which he/she has competed.
  • The Objective of the Interview is to check the personality, Psychology, Mental Ability, critical powers of assimilation, clear and logical exposition.
  • To test the balance of judgment, variety, and depth of interest, ability for social cohesion and leadership, intellectual and moral integrity.
  • The Candidates should Aware Current Event of national and International in all Fields.
