What is the Exam process of SBI Bank Clerk: The Vacancy Notification SBI Bank Clerk Exam Released in the Month of March to April Every Year, and Preliminary Exam is conducted in the month of June/ July and the Main Examination is conducted in October/November, but due to Covid-19 pandemic it getting late yet.
There are mainly Two Tiers and both are Online Computer based (CBT) exam which are-

  • Tier-1: Preliminary exam (100 Marks)- Qualifying in nature only.
  • The preliminary examination will be held in the month of June/ July.
  • Tier-2: Main exam (200 marks) of the duration of 2 hours and 40 Minutes.
  • Score in Main Exam will be counted to Prepare Merit list.

Negative Marking in SBI Clerk Exam:

Penalty for Wrong Answers: SBI Clerk Exam Consist of a Negative Marking System (1/4th of equivalent marks) for each wrong answer in Preliminary exam and Main exam both.

Final Selection/ Merit List:

  • A Merit List will be Prepared on the Basis of Candidate Marks in Main Exam Only. Provisional Selection List prepared by Recruitment Board.
  • Candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks (to be decided by the bank) in the Main Exam to be considered for final selection and Merit List will be Prepared. 5% relaxation for SC/ST/ OBC/PWD/XS category will be available thereon.
  • Final selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Main Exam.

Shortlisting of Candidates:

  • Shortlisting is the process of screening of the eligible Candidates.
  • This process held in all Three Stages for further Stage.
  • Shortlisting will be done on the basis of category Wise Merit List in Each stage.
  • The Final Selection merit list will be Prepared on behalf of the Main exam Score.
  • Selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
  • After the Final selection Merit, the Selected candidate will be deputed to further the Joining process.
